We analyzed several charcoal manufacturers and came back with wood, sulfur, sodium nitrate, borax and lime to name but a few of the additives and fillers commonly found in charcoal. It takes over 10 lbs of wood to make 2 lbs of charcoal. We carefully designed our charcoal with your health, the environment and performance in mind all at an impulse price! We form our briquettes from carbon derived from plant material that is disposed of post harvesting. We then use cornstarch to bind the carbon and form into briquettes. We then bake and then dip in an ultra high-end mineral oil that evenly ignites the briquette within 15 minutes and cooks solidly for at least 1.5 hours post ignition.
